To mark the International Day against Racism (21 March), frabina is organising a series of events together with the SRC Canton Solothurn, to which you are cordially invited:
Bettina Zimmermann, satirical one-woman play by DAS.VENTIL
(theatre with debriefing)
Friday, 18 March at 8 p.m. (bar service from 7 p.m.), Kulturm, St. Urbangasse 15, Solothurn
Bettina Zimmermann, the head of the national competence centre, takes a look at the files, explains the ABC of foreigners’ identity cards as well as written and unwritten laws that must be obeyed in Switzerland. She thinks about how to welcome people competently and checks whether you, too, pass the naturalisation test flawlessly. Officer Zimmermann tries to help in a way that is faithful to the system without giving way to emotions – always with the goal of successfully completing a dossier in mind. In between, audio recordings give refugees the chance to speak out with unheard stories.
After the theatre, there is space to reflect and discuss common questions and to critically question one’s own behavioural patterns.
Acting: Kathrin Iten / Director: Christine Ahlborn / Lighting: Lola Rosarot / Concept & Production: DAS.VENTIL
The event is free of charge. All are welcome. Reservations are recommended: www.kreuzkultur.ch. Further information about the play: www.dasventil.ch
